Announcement

Urban Success for Children is hosting the North Alabama Oratorical Competition and is looking for judges. The topic for the speeches is " America ." She believes in "the power of speech and the power of communication," and is hoping to grow this event into a state-wide competition.
Preliminaries : Aug. 1 at 3 p.m., at Madison public library on Monroe St..
Finals : Aug. 8 at 3 p.m., on A&M Campus; duration of about 1 1/2 hours.
