ASHA is getting away from using the SS#

ASHA recognizes the concern over using one's social security number when applying for ASHA CEUs. In coming months, new ASHA CEU participant forms will be available at ASHA CEU activities. On these new forms, you have the option to use your 8-digit ASHA (or NSSLHA) Account Number instead of your Social Security Number.

Since early in 2004, ASHA CEU Participant forms no longer require social security numbers. You can use your ASHA (or NSSLHA) account number, instead. Bring your account number with you to CE events in order to complete the required form to earn ASHA CEUs.

You can find your ASHA Account Number on your membership card, invoice statements and mailing labels. You may also call the Action Center at 800-498-2071 to request your ASHA Account Number or email them at actioncenter@asha.org.

The ASHA CE Registry awards ASHA CEUs, maintains a permanent record of your participation in courses offered by ASHA Approved CE Providers, and issues CE transcripts upon your request.
