School Affairs Grant

Do you have an idea you'd like to implement at your school?  Have you found an effective strategy that you've put into practice where you work?  Apply for the School Affairs Grant by January 31, and you can win money to spend on your program!  The grant recipient will be presented with the award at the annual SHAA Convention.

  • $500 grant
  • Given to a SHAA member who is employed by a school system
  • Open to an SLP, audiologist or hearing impaired teacher
  • To implement effective and innovative educational practices pertaining to improving communication skills as related to school goals

Grant proposals will be evaluated using the following guidelines:

Points Criteria
50 Ability of the project to meet the educational/communication needs of students, including the number of students that would benefit
20 Originality or uniqueness of project
20 Potential of success and sustained impact.
10 Ability of project to enhance the local school plan
