History SHAA's Archivist, Dr. Loretta Brown (who is also one of SHAA's and EBAC charter members) has done the very important work of documenting SHAA's activities and progress from its inception. See SHAA's history from 1959 through 2003. (Note: This is a large .pdf file.) An addendum to bring it to the current time is a work in progress. Order a printed/bound copy for your local library. The people referenced in this work have many roots and connections across the great state of Alabama.
